Tax Refund Simulator

Rather than guessing whether you are owed a tax refund, test it. The simulator asks eight simple questions — no ID number, no registration — and returns an initial estimate. It is not a substitute for a full check, but in under two minutes it answers the first question that matters: is this worth pursuing at all.

How the simulator calculates

The simulator examines five main variables: salary and months worked, children and credit points, reserve duty days, contributions to a study fund and provident fund, and special statuses. It weighs these into an estimated range rather than a precise forecast.

The output is a refund range, not an exact figure, together with a breakdown of the contributing factors and a likelihood indicator. The entire calculation runs in your browser, with no identifying details collected.

Examples of where people gain

These examples illustrate types of situation rather than promising an amount. A salaried mother of three whose credit points were never updated; a student who worked part of the year; a full-time employee who served reserve duty. The common thread is circumstances the employer did not know about at the time tax was withheld.

After the simulator — what comes next

If the simulator points to reasonable eligibility, you can file independently, through software, or through a refund company. The first practical step is to obtain your Form 106. For the full process see tax refunds for employees.

Frequently Asked

פתח/סגור: How does the simulator work?

It asks about salary, months worked, children, reserve duty, contributions and special statuses, and weighs the answers into an estimated range.

פתח/סגור: How accurate is the simulator?

It is an initial estimate only; the actual amount depends on your Form 106 data. It exists to answer whether pursuing a claim is worthwhile.

פתח/סגור: Does the simulator require identifying details?

No. There is no ID requirement, and the calculation runs entirely in your browser.

פתח/סגור: What do I do after the simulator shows eligibility?

Obtain your Form 106 and choose how to file — independently, through software, or through a company.

פתח/סגור: The simulator says I am not eligible — is that final?

Not necessarily. It is a deliberately conservative screening tool, and where there is doubt a full check is worthwhile.
