Notes on the calculation

  • Real return — enter a return after inflation. 3% is a standard conservative value.
  • Annuity coefficient — monthly pension uses coefficient 200, a typical value for retirement at age 67. The actual coefficient varies by fund, track and retirement age.
  • Management fees — every 0.5% in fees on balance can reduce the annuity by 10% or more over decades.
  • Employer contributions — for employees, the monthly contribution includes employee + employer + severance, totaling ~18.5% of gross salary.
